Sahara features Japanese singer Koshi Inaba on vocals. It had an early released on November 11, 2009 in Japan and the song is only featured on the Japanese version of Slash's album.


The b-side to the Sahara is a cover version of Guns N' Roses' classic track from Appetite for Destruction, "Paradise City" featuring Cypress Hill and Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas on lead vocals.

The b-side to the single is a cover version of Guns N' Roses' "Paradise City" with Cypress Hill and Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas on vocals.


"Sahara" is only available as a bonus track on the Japanese version of the album Slash. The song has been re-recorded with lyrics in English. The English version is available on the iTunes version of the album, as a bonus track. It's also available as a bonus track on the Canadian Deluxe edition of the album (with English vocals).


The website Ultimate Guitar rated the single 9/10.


"Sahara" has been awarded "Single of the Year" by the Japanese recording industry. It's the first time in 20 years that an international artist wins that award.
